Nine start-ups are in the final of the CyberOne Hightech Award 2022

The most innovative start-ups in Baden-Wuerttemberg have submitted their business plans for the CyberOne Hightech Award 2022 – the largest business plan competition for high-tech industries in the southwest and neighboring economic areas. The expert jury selected the nine best entries from the categories ICT, Media and Creative Industries, Life Science & Health Care and Industrial Technologies for the award ceremony on November 10, 2022.

Since 1998, the CyberOne Hightech Award has honored forward-looking business concepts, applications and solutions from technology-oriented companies in Baden-Württemberg and has been a key supporter of entrepreneurship ever since. This year, more than 180 start-ups are developing their business concepts with bwcon, relying on the high-tech network’s many years of experience and expertise.

“After more than two pandemic years, CyberOne is giving the startup scene a boost again. The continuity of this competition not only inspires young and innovative companies, but also ensures further growth in the southwest,” emphasizes Michael Krug, the board member of the Baden-Württemberg: Connected association responsible for the competition.

“The start-up scene is a key driver of innovation in Baden-Württemberg,” agrees Markus Linha. He heads the Business Customers and Liberal Professions division at BW Bank, which also serves start-ups and is hosting the jury session this year. “As one of the most established start-up competitions in the country, CyberOne creates a prominent platform for the founders. And let’s not forget the professional support that the qualified young entrepreneurs receive as part of the competition.”

The founding teams that reach the application criteria of the CyberOne Hightech Award are allowed to submit their business plans and have them evaluated by a top-class jury. The CyberOneJury is made up of top-class experts from business and science. The expert jury evaluates the submitted business concepts in the categories ICT, Media and Creative Industries, Life Science & Health Care and Industrial Technologies and selects the nine finalist teams that will participate in this year’s award ceremony. In addition to intensive coaching as part of the Entrepreneur School, all nine founding teams will be prepared by experienced advisors for the final competition on the day of the awards ceremony and will receive prizes worth a total of around 100,000 euros. In addition, all participants of the competition benefit from the large bwcon network with numerous new contacts, especially to relevant companies and capital providers.

Category: Industrial technologies

Logiccloud: It’s no longer the hardware that determines tomorrow’s automation, but the software. With Logiccloud, you replace the PLC controls on your machines and plants with automation services from the cloud – for the automation of tomorrow: fewer interfaces, more flexibility, lower costs and end-to-end digitization.

Pv2+: Their goal is to enable terawatt-scale growth in the solar industry by providing a solution that replaces scarce and expensive silver for solar cell electrical contacts with abundant, cheap and more environmentally friendly copper.

Organifarms: Organifarms develops farm robots for indoor farms to automate labor-intensive processes such as harvesting, plant care and quality control. In this way, we want to reduce precarious work in agriculture, support local cultivation, promote modern farming methods and reduce food waste.

Category: Life Science & Health Care

Medicalvalues: Medicalvalues is developing an AI platform for integrative diagnostics – connecting the dots in clinical pathways and enabling improved patient outcomes.

Cytolytics: Cytolytics offers a software platform that enables fully automated analysis of medical data based on state-of-the-art machine learning methods and algorithms. Currently, the soft market entry into the field of flow cytometry is taking place. Flow cytometry is a routine diagnostic procedure and is used, for example, to diagnose blood cancer. What makes the software platform special is the ease with which the analysis workflow they have developed can be transferred to other life science disciplines.

Sync2brain: Sync2brain’s mission is to develop a novel technology that, for the first time, enables effective, personalized, non-invasive brain stimulation therapy for patients suffering from depression or after a stroke – with significantly fewer side effects than conventional therapy.

Bauta Digital Twin: – With the blind sensors they have developed, Bauta enables people-centric data collection, making them the only provider to allow the European market widespread access to innovative smart city data.

Flygge: Flygge develops the safest, most complete and smartest platform for caravanning.

Bytefabrik.AI: The intelligent no-code solution supports users from manufacturing companies in data connection, data exploration and operation of value-added (AI) applications for product and process quality monitoring via an intuitive user interface. The solution enables automated analysis of time series and relieves users of the technical implementation complexity. This reduces development and operating costs for data-driven applications while increasing production efficiency.
